		<description>Absolutely right. As i learned it, default view of horizon scanning (I&#039;ll use the UK term ;) is that it is about seeing what&#039;s out there in the world. Things. Stuff happening and changing. But more and more I believe good scanning looks equally at what&#039;s going on in people&#039;s heads. Ideas. Values. Motivations.... because these will determine the choices they make and the choices aggregated over the population and over time, will determine the future. (Internal and external &quot;events&quot; are linked of course.) Anyway I think peering into the Fred &quot;headspace&quot; is this latter type of scanning - and very necessary. Great blog. v. professional, I like it a lot.</description>
